Investing in Freedom of Information Infastructure
[an error occurred while processing this directive]

Freedom is priceless, but it has its price. What the FFII has been receving and spending, and for what donations are needed now.
The patent departments of large companies are setting people free to do nothing but software patent lobbying. EICTA and others have been preparing for an unprecedented lobbying blitz in the European Parliament. We can win with about 1/10 of their effort but not less than that.

We need to pay for Brussels and Munich offices and for plane tickets and from the corners of Europe to Brussels. At least one extra activist should be there each week.

zie How you can help us stop Software Patents

The European Parliament's decision against software patents of september 2003 was thought impossible by most people. It wouldn't have happened without the groundwork in Brussels by the very people whose dedicated presense we want to make possible now.

Apart from regular contributions by FFII members, the following major donations have facilitated our work.
