WirelessAntennas( WaveGuide )My first waveguide is finished. Quite some hard work during two days. One day more to tune it, but it works great, I've signal every where! The ultimate antenna for your wireless network. Here's some pictures (more coming soon). ( TetraPak ) Very easy to do antenna, just cut some TetraPak! Howto? ( SlimPatch ) Low cost slim antenna, to put on the rear of your portable computer, or somewhere else, rear your access point, on a window, etc...Gain about 10dB, horizontal polarisation, 150deg beamwidth horizontal, 50deg beamwidth vertical. Thanks to Pr Christophe Craeye (TELE-UCL) and his students for this great design. ( SardineCan ) One of the best price/performance antenna is this SardineCan Antenna. Made of a Sardine Can (0,50EUR at Aldi) and of 2mm copper cable (ground yello and green), it's ver easy to do. So as to not have problems of rigidity with soldering, I've put a good quantity of hot glue over it. Approximately 10dB, need to make a link from SardineCan to SardineCan to see which distance I can reach at 11MB/sec. More details on ReseauCitoyen page. Hacks( PowerOverEthernet )How to put power on your 10baseT cables for your access point, so as you can have only one cable to transport network and power to your roof. ( OpenAP ) Just playing with OpenAP. You can easily transform this AccessPoint in a full featured router, with all of the protocols that you need. It has 4MB RAM, AMD CPU SC400, 2MB Flash. I'm trying to built an sram.img with IPv6 and AODV. Utils( DynSpy.pl )A simple Perl script that output the signal quality of your link. Here's an example of output. Thanks to Christophe Cattelain and Phil Teuwen for this script. Maybe I need to rewrite it in shell so as to provide the same tool without the Perl interpreter. Events( Samsung4510 hackparty031019 )Some members of the ReseauCitoyen met this weekend to try to hack some wireless access points to port linux on some of them. Some links: announce, my pictures, samsung4510 filez, rc wiki page, seattlewireless page. ( Florenville-Arlon ) Longshot between Florenville (Waveguide 32slots placed on the church tower) and Arlon (Yagi of XavierVL). Distance 36,5km. Data transfert of 50ko/sec during 5 minutes but we didn't succeed to do the same after, we were quite disapointing... We think that the fresnel zone was not so good to realize a good link. ( CzFree ) Some pics of the CZFree Network, in Prague, CZ: Ronja, Pigtail, Orinoco, Dish, and Misc. Waouw! Quelques photos. ( NieuportOstende ) See ReseauCitoyen and those pictures for more details... ( LLN Conf 01nov ) See ReseauCitoyen or clic here to view my presentation... ( LinuxExpo2003 ) Here's my presentation at LinuxExpo2003 6 feb in Paris, about 2.4Ghz antennas. ( ProjetX ) BH on TV with SardineCan and TetraPak: video and snapshots. Fun( AsciiArt )Some Ascii Art for wireless antennas... |
